Very gracious reply, MAC. I erred in misreading the tone of your remark. That said, I admire wit, intelligence, and creativity (don't we all on OMJ?) and it seems to me that Fry has loads of all that. And I'm not impressed by his talents just because he's a Norfolk dumpling. But he does exude a certain classiness (and I mean that in the political sense), so I can understand why he gets up some people's noses (or other orifices, if you prefer).

Some of the stuff Fry has appeared in over the years is absolute class, I can understand someone disliking his real personality but he has been brilliant more than a few times in his career.Still, each to their own.
