I got Dilla onto the Albums thread with Donuts and I got MF DOOM onto the 2024 mix I think via another rap alter ego King Geedorrah.

Quaismoto is the alien weed smoking not right alter ego of Madlib.

Madlib - Otis Jackson Jr of Oxnard California - has a very low voice and is more well known for production than rapping. He also hates his voice. So he recorded multiple albums by slowing down his raps and then speeding them up giving this weird psychedelic alien vibe.

Never meant to be released, his label Stones throw loved it and both his albums stand very well in the off kilter hip hop world.

Prolific, a genius and extremely private - there's virtually zero interviews apart from a Red Bull Academy long format video in which he barely speaks. Actually worth a watch as what he does say for those with interest in this music is brilliant.

He makes whole albums in a week of one record to really stretch how far he can take looping and sampling.
