I remember Weekender saying that the Peat bogs in the stretch between Pen-y-Ghent and Ribblehead are a fucking nightmare in high summer,let alone springtime.
So much so that he took to walking on the main road from Horton on to there to save time and his feet!
I suppose it could be classed as cheating to a degree,but worth thinking about.
