Quick Google this morning, ended up going to Digley Reservoir. Never been there before, it's a few miles past Holmfirth. I missed the turning at first but we carried on to see what we could find and went high up into The Peak District, into Derbyshire. Had a wander round up there for a bit and a pheasant shot out of the undergrowth and nearly gave both of us a heart attack.
We returned to the reservoir and parkedup and wandered to one end and then off into the hills along dirt tracks and country lanes, great views. We made our way back down, through the woods and sat by the lake on the rocks. The water was low, no major rain for weeks. We skimmed stones for a while and watched the wildlife. The heat brought a few people out, not excessive but a fair few for a May weekday lockdown. Good three hour ramble round somewhere I don't really know.
Pictures aren't too clever, new phone next month.
