Cheers all.
Stuck to the plan and walked down the Chevin into Otley, ended up calling into Buon App the Italian restaurant on the river which was doing takeaway so got pizza and picked our spot on the riverbank to tuck in.
Unbelievable pizza by the way.
Gorgeous weather,not ideal for the long climb back up the Chevin though .
9 mile round trip so reckon we've earned the ice cool Peroni's we're about to demolish in the garden whilst enjoying the rest of the evening sun.
Here's to the next 25 years 🙂

Happy belated birthday Harvest! and happy anniversary Raposa!

It was my 50th last Thursday. Had a decent hike up Winter Hill and back down through Belmont village which is a picturesque way to get down as you go past something called the blue lagoon which is not blue and not what I'd call a lagoon but still nice. There was loads of white cotton grass on top of Winter Hill which looked ace.

I took this on the way down after remembering a Viz top tip on photography which said 'just take close ups of any old shit and tell people its all about perspective.'
Also had a nice mooch around Anglezarke reservoir the day after. Lobbing stones into water never loses its appeal.

Ogden Water - Travis Country

The CEO’s car was in for a service in Halifax, we dropped it early and tootled up in the courtesy car to Ogden Water for a walk.

Trav had taken me biking up here before so I knew already about the fantastic scenery on the route.

A short walk with a few up hills but nothing hideous. It takes in a resevoir, moorland, windfarm and a “roman road” Only 1:30 hr. A great short trott out. The views are superb

Walked from our house, across the river and up Penhill and back again today with my wife. She’s a walking/running machine...I’m still knacked 👎

Was hoping to get above the jets that are flying across each day this week on exercise from Leeming but they were a bit too high today. Might try again later in the week.

Harthope Valley and Happy Valley, just south of Wooler, earlier today. Out on the tops there was not a soul, not a sound. I fuckn love the Cheviots me.

Had a couple of hours wandering round Fewston Reservoir. Then out to Almscliffe Crag for a scramble round. Windy up the top, cobwebs well blown.

The other day I woke up early so decided to take the dog on a nice walk. Down to the Leeds Liverpool canal where it was great to see it being used by teams of rowers. But as i walked along the banks of the canal I came across a new phenomenon - fucking bell pinging cyclists. Apparently it seems to be the norm now to start pinging yer bell as you approach a walker so that they might move into the side and let you go on your merry way. Cunts.

Well if they actually went single file instead of cycling side by side on footways we could all happily walk/cycle by. I think that there is some old law that people on foot have priority (and actually years ago apparenlty you had to pay a shilling to legally cycle on the canalay footpath).

When i cycle on it I use common decency and tend to cyle as far the the edge as I can.

Did boss Moor to Malham tarn then back to Threshfield day before Christmas eve. Lagged it down and muddy as owt on tops. Seen one fell runner that's it. Probably do Rylstone to cracoe cross then down through Thorpe to Linton did it last week its a good one that walk
