RIP.

About a 1000 times more upsetting than Prince's demise. Cuppa, anyone?

Dad, do you know the piano's on my foot?

You hum it son and I'll play it!

RIP monkey

Bet he'd struggle to knockout a serviceable Waterfall.

Anyone ever figure out where his guitar went?

I love the fact he was dead excited to be on stage with Tome Petty.

Fucking class post that.

I saw him `93, great showman and excellent musician. Sadly the acoustics were shit, don`t worry Placid it was E Court and I wasn`t the only one who thought so, so the place has been fucked off.

Fully understand if you`re not a fan, I ended up going cos a mate split with his bird and there were two tickets spare.

Never owned an album, but he was incredibly talented and if you didn`t rate him fair enough, but he was only born a few years before me.

I thought this board had a bit more about it, but there you go.

Ha ha nice one

You thought this board had a bit more about it? Because of a different opinion? Surely that's what the boards about. 57 is no age, we know that. Two days in and having suffered a bombardment of his music I honestly wish he was still alive so the tributes would stop. I think he was shit. Heard a deluge of his stuff, a full on deluge, people requesting obscure tracks etc and my opinion of him has got worse.

zico

Of course it`s about opinions and if a person doesn`t like somebody`s music, even hates it then say so, that`s what it`s all about.
I was referring to the "midget" and "sleazy pimp" comments, bit strong for a bloke who has just died.

Said it when he was alive. Him dying doesn't change my opinion.

You think this bombardment has been bad, just wait til Cliff dies.

scootay

Only time i think the smoking ban was justified is times like this. Imagine how many people would have held their lighters aloft

This. Don't wish him dead, but am sick of having to change stations every time another crappy, so-called tune is wheeled out.

Harvest

You could play a cd.

scootay

But its MASSIVE OVERKILL!!. cooking sunday dinner, cerys has just finished and craig Charles has just come on. Guess whar? Fuckin prince special.i love my dab radio but im close to smashing it to pieces

Harvest wroteYou could play a cd.

Could do, but they're all Prince ones....

Harvest

I understand what you're saying but when Bowie died I was heartbroken. Tom Robinson's show was a lovely tribute and I'm sure helped people to get to grips with it and move on. Prince was a massive massive star. I didn't particulsrly like him, I don't like his music but a few days of his songs as a tribute and a help to his fans isn't going to hurt anyone. Listen to a different station, Radio 4's ace, put a CD on, a podcast, silence. It's a couple of days, it'll soon pass.

scootay

Appreciate what you're saying harvest. But life's too short. I'll never get back these last 2/3 days. And everytime I think about my house move I'll think of Prince. Packing boxes and getting fucked off

Harvest

Where you off? Alphabet Street?

MolOverBeethoven

:D :D :D

MolOverBeethoven

Seriously, it's easily avoided. If it bothers you that much, you've got fuck all going on like.

MolOverBeethoven

And I love the Bruce, but he fucking murdered that, dreadful.

It does bother me. It bothers me a lot. I'm quite a placid laid back person but I'm wired up wrong when it comes to music I don't like. If the music is too loud in the gym and I can hear it even though I've got me headphones on I go down and tell them to 5urn it down. If I walk in a cafe and capital is on i walk out . Same for pubs. Shit music I walk out. As much as I absolutely love music I also absolutely detest loads of it. Shit music sets me off and I think about losing it and smashing things. It's intolerable. If I'm playing pool and winning someone always says put some shit music on and he'll fuck up. They do and I do.

And Obama can fuck off an all. Threatening us with bullshit. Firmly in the out camp now.
