Not me. I'm confined to barracks bike-wise until the baby comes (due Friday). Did a spin session this afternoon instead.

Just bought a cheapo Garmin Edge 200. It looks like a great gadget for the £76 Ribble charged me.Just charging it, and luckily great weather for a ride at the moment, so once it's charged I'm downing tools and off for a ride. I've also decided to get some rollers for when the weather is shit. I bought a mag with a feature on them over xmas I'll have a read of that price some up and then probably ask some questions on here.

I've got some Tacx ones but I was given them. Managing not to fall off now but still using them in a doorframe just in case. Great for 'core' training stuff and technique. They really make you think about your pedalling and balance. Planet X were selling some cheap.

These...Cheapest I've seen them is £125 online.

Cheers. I'll have a good look when I'm back in Hx and D on Thursday.

One question, is it okay to use your normal bike and wheels or do they take a bit of punishment?Just done 15 miles, bloody hell i'm out of shape.Only 4969 to go.

No new bike shanningans for me. I am still fixing a new bottom bracket and am also led up with a cold & flemmy chest. Nasty. Hopefully will be out next week?I now have some handle bars & brake shifters for the drop conversation. Another 2months will have the bar end shifters & new mechanical disc brake callipers. Cant wait to get this on the new bike!

UTA that was ace. I'll never moan about long distances again.
Foxy_Dread
If you enjoyed it, then yes it's ace but if not...I've hardly been out this year because of the weather I'd rather give it more stick when it's drier and warmer. I don't mind getting wet but I don't like setting off in the wet.Perhaps I've gone soft.

Got my 3monthly mag the other day. They had some pictures of people cycling through the floods back at the start of last month! Absolute nutters. But kind of good. I will be stepping up to 600 next year. I am starting to love this audax caper, really addictive stuff.

Haha. I told my wife it was £250 and she said I was mad...I bought it with works credit card so she doesn't see the statement !!It's excellent, when I was looking for one I decided I needed something that would keep me interested. I was worried if I just bought rollers I'd get bored. You can plan gps routes on it and the screen shows google street view where your cycling and the resistance adjusts as it should do for the hills. I still struggle to make the time to use it enough though. London and back on train yesterday, 16 hour day, Newcastle today, Manchester tomorrow, busy day working from home Friday then weekend taken up with family stuff, and I think my wife is doing liversedge half marathon on Sunday if I've got my dates right I spend so much time planning stuff for work I'm shit at remembering important stuff !! Priorities all wrong I know.
Travis_Bickle
Work got in the way of my spin session last night but I'll get it done tonight. I know what you mean about sessions being dull but I've got quite good at just zoning out and getting it done. I train in the en-suite bathroom (funny little room with two glass brick walls, hard to describe, our house is a bit odd). Not much room and nothing to look at really.I use an ipod.I've got pictures of the gradient map of Mont Ventoux and one of Julien Absalon going uphill at a WC race on the wall in front of me. Corny I know but I look at them when it hurts.

Never used any kind of indoor training gear. Not knocking it, but it'd do my head in. Got to be outdoor cycling for me.Just had a right result; 45 mile ride in dry weather. It's pissing it down now.

Jammy git. No way you would be out in this weather down here. windy as anything & only a boat would do!
Cuts
If I knew how to I'd put a picture up of what it's like outside right now. I'm getting fat here.
