Good work, enjoyed that. Sounds quite appealing that audaxing.

Yes have ago. Really good. I plan on doing a three or four more 100K'ers , then a 200k'er by the end of the year. But they hold them everywhere & are dead cheap. 5 to 6 quid. I have been in touch with a bloke who runs one from where I live and he was moaning that they had put the price up from 50p to £2!When you consider that some of the sportif's are 30 to 50quid, it is a no brainer for a tight cunt like me!

Started to look for a second hand road bike on Bikeradar. Found one, but it´s in Glasgow and i want to try it before buying, so probably won´t happen.

I don't think it's the Motorbecane of old. Is it on Bikes Direct?

No, Cuts, it's on the Motobecane USA web site under Road Bikes. This one resembles my old beauty. I used it solely for burn-ups and I had another French bike, a Gitane, for touring until some wire-cutting bastards in Edinburgh stole it while I was at a concert. Fortunately I took the rear panniers in with me.Thanks, CBIT--I tried to, but predictably screwed up somewhere.

Sure I've read somewhere that the name has been bought and some company is knocking them out online self assembly and that the quality is not what it was. Some buy them for the group sets and stick that lot ona better quality frame it seems. It is rather eye catching and no doubt better than my bike.

Good read that. I enjoyed the last bit. A bike ride is one of the best things in life.

I've put on weight this winter. Shorts popping weight.
