Not all of the countries you list have a land border with Russia/Ukraine/Belorussia. You omitted Finland.

heyho I used to work with a lass from Kirkenes right near the Russian border. Very strange part of the world up there. She said that if you ever go over the border to Russia it's like Hell compared to Norway. She did used to drive over the border to Finland every week though for the supermarket big shop as it was so much cheaper. She never bought petrol in Norway. Beautiful women, big cheekbones like a Sami.

Boom! This rhymes with a number of Russia watchers here in the West. Depressing because it means there is actually no immediate end to the war. I'm still trying to understand what the deal is with with all these cease fires (if you can call them that). Since when has Putin given a shit about civilians? It could mean he's going to flatten the cities he has almost encircled (including Kyiv) or it could be the Ukrainians are right about decent and indiscipline in the army and he needs time to sort it out. Furthermore, he's lost two important commanders so it may be a time buyer to get the right guys into the vacancies.

so a couple of hours ago I'm cooking and my wife is watching TV when both our phones go off like car alarms simultaneously. Turned out we weren't being embroiled in WW3, Carry Lam's little helpers had decided to inform us of the repurposing of the biggest hospital in HK because of the covid surge here. They thought sending a simultaneously forced text alarm to every mobile in HK was the best way to do this in the midst of heightened tension. It would appear from social media a lot of other people in HK hand a simarllery uncomfortable few seconds.
