I have waited to write this as I didn’t get back from the smoke until the early hours . But woah .

Wunderhorse played the Waterboys don’t bang the drum prior to coming on stage. I looked at my mate & just said yes! Then played & sang a bit of my my the Neil young song. Then bang into Midas. Then the album song after song. With the first one which I don’t know. But it was the crowd. Just singing along on everyone’s shoulders, makes me quite emotional thinking about it. It’s everything music can be. So good.
Anyway our precious rock n roll is safe in the hands of the new generation.

Just caught an evening of fringe gigs at the Rik Mayall Comedy Festival in Droitwich. Apart from the comedy the high point was my lad loudly slagging off Bottom while we stood at a bar waiting to be served while the Director and half the production staff of said programme surrounded us.

I bought tickets for The La’s once thinking I’d ask a young lady I’d had a brief dalliance with though I’d never actually asked her out. I ended up going with a mate of mine who bares an uncanny resemblance to Tyson Fury (though he had lots more hair in those days).

Every time I click on this thread I’m reminded @Otis had seen Cherry Ghost and I never will. I take comfort in the thought that he was probably out of his skull and barely remembers any of the gig.
