oneallanclarke Transcendent. Utter happy-clappy New York woke nonsense as high art. Brilliant beyond belief. Slippery People and Life During Wartime standouts above many many others.
Under-the-ground Hugh cornwell Stroud Subrooms. Deep darkest Gloucestershire. They have shitloads of concerts here now . Anyways Hugh did his album Notsferatu. Some obscure one, was ok in a post punk way. Then over an hour of his solo stuff with Stranglers tracks. I’ve never seen him before so was good to hear his voice. Golden Brown wasn’t as good as the stranglers with Baz, but he did who wants the world and tank which were good. A decent evening and he looked well as he must me some age.
white_dragon Got Tom Jones and Nile Rodgers tonight at Chester racecourse. Wouldn't of bothered with Tom a few years ago , now I'm ok with him. Mrs D's choice. Looking forward to Nile Rodgers though.
Anchor Travis_Bickle the Neo casual love the Weller and what's it out the verve. Richard thingy. I get sent pictures from an 80s casual Facebook page. It's a thing of wonder, bafflement and sadness. I'm hugely intrigued by it all.
Jon Work schedule been what it is I’m only able to attend one of these. Waiting to hear if I’ve been able to secure tickets. 🤞
Young_Marxist_at_Tescos The Howl and The Hum, Saturday John MOuse, next Wednesday. Wedding Present, Arab Strap, ACR, in October
YoungParisian_inExile Blood Orange/ Dev Hynes tonight in Vancouver . The Essex Honey album is very good .
CBIT Jon isn't it just - years of booze and fags have obviously done for his voice and i get the feeling now he's just going through the motions - but interest to hear @fulmine's view of the regents park gig later this month
Under-the-ground Starsailor at cheese & grain in frome. I always thought frome was a shithole. Very swanky bars and restaurants. Apparently the fashionistas have moved in. Anyways accepted Starsailor aren’t one of the greats, but they always put decent effort into it. The singers voice is very strong and he’s obviously looked after it. They have a couple of classics I reckon. Recommended in a decent night type of way. Decent band
