Jon Under-the-ground Afternoon shows, there’s a great idea. Suede are touring with Manic Street Preachers over here in November. I bet they’re night time shows though. Know your audience people.
white_dragon Jon I'm all in favour of afternoon gigs, less likely to miss last train/bus home and every chance of tucked in by 10.
Anchor I saw Madness at a matinee a few years ago - it was ace. Took the kids. Used to be a thing during the height of Two Tone didn't it - matinee shows for U16's. Need them now for over 50's. I'm nearly 53 you know.
Jon Judging by these responses, some bands are missing a trick. Spirtualized cancelled due to a medical emergency. 🤞
Under-the-ground Just seen on face stalk apparently Ian browns tour is just him & backing tracks. Charging £50 a ticket. We all now he was never blessed with the best voice Jesus. He used to be someone. Sad.
Under-the-ground Flaneur Jesus. That is horrible. He seems to have lost the plot with all him comments on covid & what not. He used to be an hero of mine
Jon The good folk in Glasgow seem more forgiving. Can’t think of a single performer I’d be happy to pay to see song to a backing track like that.
CBIT As the new sp has pissed off to Japan for a month I'm back on it, saw a band called Scissorgun tonight featuring Alan crispy ambulance Hempssall (one for @Foxy_Dread there) and Eric Random (one for @Odd_Job ) at Gulliver's, both very entertaining
king_of_the_slums oneallanclarke sorry mate missed this.. https://t.pia.jp/pia/ticketInformation.do?eventCd=2231987&rlsCd=002
CBIT Mate wants to go see some dutch lot called Pip Blom so he's sorted guestlist for Maximo Park this evening who they are supporting
90Piesanhour CBIT Pip Blom are favourites of Marc Riley, Maximo Park are favourites of mine. Sounds like a good gig.
