Tolley Reggie_Perrin Admit it Reggie - it's spotting that crisp packet you threw over the bridge into the hedge in 1997. The guilt from finding out many years later that it takes several million years to decompose is still consuming you. And the worry that David Attenborough might turn up on your doorstep at any time is giving you sleepless nights...
Reggie_Perrin Tolley haven't been there since school camp at Much Wenlock in 1983. There was a museum next door which had a full size exhibit of Bob Beaman's World record (at the time). Blew my mind completely.
Anchor Harvest Nice spot - there is a great half marathon round there that goes over the bridge and around Jackfield and that. What did you get up to?
Harvest Anchor Just a mooch about really, the bridge obviously. River was well high and fast flowing. Had mother in law with us so think tea rooms rather than boozers. Spent a bit of time in that second hand bookshop. Could have done with another three hours in there. Bought a cast iron spider.
CharlieG Debenhams cafe, in Carlisle..............which is, apparently, considered to be the height of sophistication. : |
Kevin_Stapleton TransPennine train on the eastern outskirts of Manchester heading towards Liverpool. Big new swanky trains: still running late. They're nothing if not consistent.
CharlieG On third coffee of the day, in Waterstones, Carlisle. Buzzing my fucking tits off. The drive home is going to be interesting.
Kevin_Stapleton TransPennine train at Huddersfield heading back to Newcastle. Big new swanky trains: still running late. They’re nothing if not consistent.
zico Kevin_Stapleton Never ceases to amaze me, how busy those trains on that line are, even on Sunday mornings.
Kevin_Stapleton Because if you want to go west-east or vice versa by public transport in the north you don't really have a lot of choice.
Kevin_Stapleton Druid Park, Woolsington. Newcastle Ladies vs Stockport County ladies. Neice playing for the visitors. 1 - 0 at half time.
