Finally back out running again now that all the house possessions turned up. Unpunishing 6k to a small lake down trails ... saw my first bear on the way back. Running at this point is not advised !

Day 2 back out, realised how slow i'd got in the last 8 months. Hopefully this and some biking will get me back into shape.Keep it going Travis.

Have I posted on here before?Anyway, try to do the 5k park run every Sat morning. Current averaging 28-29 mins, with a sprint at the end. Gonna try sprinting every now and again during the run, for the Tae Kwon Do style bursts of energy.Usually go and do Ju Jitsu for an hour and a half after the run, which means by midday I feel like I've done a marathon.I'm going to try and move up to £10k before too long, probably via some kind of fund-raising run, of which there are loads locally. Can't say I LIKE running, but have to say that 2 TKD sessions, a 5k park run and a Ju Jitsu session each week has seen my fitness go through the roof. Fitter now than I was 30 years ago.

Just done my first run in around six weeks ( Manchester Half Marathon in October ), did 7.17 miles in 1 hour 14 around the mean streets of Farsley, Pudsey, Calverley, Rodley,Bramley and Stanningley. Slow I know but that’s the only way I know.

1.7 miles this morning. First run of the holiday. Going to try and get out every day, try 2-3 miles each time. Not been out for a week but felt fine. Sea is a few 100m from the campsite. Was beautiful down there, still had that early chill.

Did a flat five in under an hour monday. Felt OK. Still struggling for continuity though - cant get into a routine with it.

Chilly but beautiful morning so took off down the A65 out of Ilkley then crossed over the River Wharfe via the iron bridge then headed back up towards Ilkley on Denton rd.Lovely and quite on there, very little traffic at that time of a Saturday morning,Middleton woods on my right and the Wharfe to my left with the Cow and Calf rocks high in the distance bathed in glorious sunshine.Reached the Lido then carried on to the stone, humped back bridge just before Ilkley golf course which took me back over the Wharfe to the Riverside park.Headed back down the riverside path all the way back down to the stepping stones on the Wharfe, bidding good morning to dog walkers aplenty. At the stepping stones there's a shortcut back up to the main road which takes me back home.Completed the 4.6 mile circuit in 43 minutes so didn't cane it by any means but invigorating all the same.
