space Netflix on the PC now has a handy blue "Picture in Picture" tab for those of us who aren't able to manipulate and resize windows by ourselves.
MolOverBeethoven fuzzy I went to Stavanger with Leeds. The feckers put the pub prices up incrementally as the night goes on. 9pm, 10pm, 11pm etc. Grand folk mind.
fuzzy MolOverBeethoven That's snidey. Most Norwegians don't even go to the pub until gone 10 on 'big nights', they all pile round to each other's houses and drink cans from the supermarket then go out for the last hour or so. I'd have jibbed a pub if they were putting prices up like that, not nice. I had a nose for a cheap half litre when I lived in Tromso. Knew some places where I could get one for £3.50 (when it was 6 in the trendy places). But that was 20 years ago mind. Old men's drinking dens where my mate once got press ganged by Irish Fishermen and was made to work on a trawler for 3 weeks in arctic conditions up near bear island. That taught him. Actually it didn't.
Jon Gave up on Uncut Gens at the faulty security door scene. Kill The Messenger is on Netflix here. That’s a decent movie.
Raposa The Sinner series 3 is now on Netflix. Watched the first episode last night...looking good again.
Bod Just finished The Sinner S3, don't want to spoil it for you Raposa but its the worst of the 3, very slow, poor story which turns unbelievable and Bill Pullmans character just grated on me in this.
heyho Bod Just finished The Sinner S3, don’t want to spoil it for you Raposa but its the worst of the 3, very slow, poor story which turns unbelievable and Bill Pullmans character just grated on me in this. Agree with you Bod. Watchable mainly because of the pedigree of the other two series but it does get very unbelievable as you say. A grave ending.
Anchor Watched the Lumineres on BBC tonight. Period piece from the NZ gold rush era. Murder, mystery, love and magic. I enjoyed it.
CBIT Did Bridge of Spies this morning before the football, how many films has Tom done where he just plays the guy who sticks to his principles no matter what ? Just done Plastic which is a whole different ballgame, poor mans version of whatever shitty film you can think of.
doggybag Being as diplomatic as possible on The Sinner, I will not be watching S2. Poor old Bill and his half face grin; drove yer wan doolally. Watched Bladerunner, the final cut: it's still an extraordinary work even after all these years but I miss the original movie release with Harrison Ford's narration; that added a dash of noir which the final cut misses a bit. Rutger Hauer, how to steal a movie eh?
heyho space And a young Daryl Hannah doing her own gymnastics. She's married to Neil Young now. 15 year age gap. There's hope for us all
CBIT Brad Pitt one War Machine, a satirical look at The US of A and the war in Afghanistan with Brad playing a media savvy 5 star general there to get the job done. Worth a watch. Cardboard Gangster, one of those films I've watched so you don't have to.
Mike_Jones Alien: Director's Cut, on HBO via Prime - I didn't even know this existed, new footage really changes the pacing, not for the better in terms of tension but you see some more of the characters before they're picked off. Plus Dallas (Nostromo captain) all bound up as a host begging to be killed. Deffo worth a watch if you're a big fan of the original.
