doggybag I know Tom gets a lot of stick, what with his Scientology beliefs and all that, but I’ve always liked him. He’s actually a very, very good actor.
The rapport he had with Foxx was superb. I enjoyed it - although I felt it fell away a bit at the end. Mark Ruffalo was in it as well - another great actor.

‘Wild Bill’ for me tonight. Netflix. Stars the superb Charlie Creed-Miles (should really be a big star this fella). Any film that kicks off with ‘Guns of Brixton’ is alright by me.

Having exhausted most box sets now I am focussing on Sons of Anarchy. To be honest I am quite liking it.

Fact: The Scottish character in it - Chibs - has two prominent scars on either side of his mouth. These are real. He was in a bar brawl in Scotland and was given the Glasgow Smile.

heyho I started out liking it but it got to the point where every single character had done so many bad things I wanted them all to fucking die and I had to stop. I think that was about half way through season 4.

Sons of Anarchy. Got about three episodes in and knocked it on the head. Not my thing.

Perfume, 6 part German thriller about a series of murders where the victims scent glands are cut out to make a perfume. Don't bother a right load of tosh, lot of sex in it though.

"Wellington Paranormal" on Sky/NowTV. This is from the pen of Jermaine Clement of Flight of the Conchords fame and is much along the same line as "What we do in the Shadows", but from the cops point of view. It's all done very dead pan but occassionally the dialogue has me in stitches.

If you like WWDITS then you'll like this. Definitely a late night whisky and dooby in hand kind of thing.

Watched Jack Charlton. Was shocked by his deterioration. Surprised how little of his early life and his Leeds and England careers were covered. Mostly it documented his amazing relationship with the Irish at a time when Ireland was still on fire. I swear if his name were on the ballot for President in Ireland, he'd get elected still; he's a solid gold hero there. Jack's compassion for Paul McGrath and McGrath's contribution were among the most human moments I've ever seen on TV. I won't watch it again but I'll remember it, I hope.

Like I said very poignant as he was exactly like my mum was. Thing is they didnt show any further on where I suspect he became bed bound, having to wear nappies and totally on another planet. We were spared all that on the documentary thank god. Sadly I wasnt with my mum.

I enjoy watching old interviews , particularly with those of a bygone age. Dick Cavett was a master interviewer. His shows are widely available on YouTube. I love them. Lennon, Olivier, Joplin, Fischer, Bowie, Burton. Right up my street. Check out this cool 😎 MF....

Bod Without doubt. Parkinson wasn’t as good as people believe: his interviews with Mirren and Ryan were testament to that. Cavett was class.
