With that amount of money you should go to a store and listen to the kit, and chop and change items until you are very happy. Take albums and take CD’s. Go to a good hi-fi shop, though respectfully, Richer Sounds have been fine for me. Stick to your budget at all times.
I used to be bang-on into hi-fi and would have split that money by spending the most I could do on the source, then the amp, then the speakers. In that order. I’ve fucked about with high-end interconnects and speaker cable, but in the home setting, you can work with entry point accessories and build from there. For speaker cables, it’s all about the amount of copper, but I’ve used 2-core mains cable and had good results. Trust me I have spent £000’s on hi-fi in my life, through the work I’ve done.

Film quality is as equal importance to me for music, and whilst I’m buying shed loads of 180g vinyl each month, I do use CD’s and also Airplay/Bluetooth Apple Music files. Now I have music everywhere, through any format, from phone, laptop or vinyl - I just work out where I want to be when I listen, flip open the Yamaha MusicCast app and fill the room with music that I can tweak the sound for. It's not the best hi-fi sound I've ever had but it's more than good enough, and I was lucky that I have contacts in the trade and got very good discounts.

I don't know your room layout, your (dare I say it) wife's decor taste and if you just want to play vinyl in the front room, then a trip to a hi-fi store with a pocketful of cash will get a good system at this time of year (they will have all had a quiet January).
