Foxy_Dread True enough but it’s not like sell ons are unusual these days. I’m sure there must be a downside to having one in your contract but I’m not sure what it is from a player’s perspective.

How does this money get used now? Does it pay off existing debts (JKA, allow the club to take a loss selling on Rasmus and the like) or does it go in a transfer kitty?

Correct me if I'm wrong but the big worry for Archie must be that Tottingham don't have a great success rate with youngsters. They've ruined a few good ones in the past.

Djpekingman he's too good and too established to ruin. If I was him I'd cover my arse with a three year contract with an option Spurs can trigger for another year after x amount of starts.

We have three centre forwards already, I'd happily give Joseph a run, whilst also using Bamford to take some pressure and minutes off him.

What I think we really need is a rethink from Farke on how we set up for games. I'm not too hopeful that last season's tactics will see us promoted.

Foxy_Dread There's talk of Bamford and/or Piroe going so a CF is required. Preferably one that can crack 25 + per season.

Jon they might have discussed a sell on, Grays lot might have said 40m no sell on or 25m with a sell on, we don't know.

I do think it's unusual for a release clause to stipulate a sell on , but I may be wrong on that.

CBIT Odd how this piece makes no mention of Joe Rodon. I'd be surprised if he'd have come to Leeds without the sweetener of Archie which would have meant having to start the search for a CH all over again and being hit with silly prices as a result as we were with Ben White. So RB have killed two birds with one brick which makes very good sense indeed.

The 30th June deadline is noted as important but the Athletic piece fails to address the significance if any, of missing that. I'm not sure of which 3 seasons apply for next year's PSR calculation. Clubs need to have some records for this season submitted to the EFL next spring suggesting the new season will count.

His Dad is his agent but its a big tax diddle. He’s a registered agent but Hayden Evans is the main one. Suspect Andy Gray will have got paid on it as well.

Dad has been managing him through the whole academy. Cresswell’s Dad too, I mean he went as far as runming the academy for a time. Apparnetly he’s a top fella
