This has been sat on my shelf for sixteen years. I've absolutely no recollection of buying it or getting it as a present. I'm working through all the books I have but have never read before I get onto the list of others I want to read.

The Switch, Joseph Finder. Cat and Mouse thriller about a US senator and her laptop with highly classified government documents on it that gets into the wrong hands. Easy reading

Harvest no and I enjoyed Lonely Boy too. Jones was a massive cunt at times when he was strung out and I guess Letts was a bit arty and cerebral for a younger Jones.

Done the top 2. Riveting stuff about a hand picket black police force operating in 50s Alabama. Obviously they're very unpopular with the Klan card carrying white coppers, who seem to make up 90% of the force. Cracking reads !

I've been meaning to read the book since 1980. About the same time I tried to read Tinker Tailor..... I didn't finish that and I hadn't a clue what the TV series was about.
I can console myself that we went to Checkpoint Charlie a number of times before Union Berlin in 2007.
