Just finished Trio by William Boyd. Him recommended on here further up. He wrote Any Human Heart which was the only other book I have read and loved.
Anyway this was set on a film set in 1968. The characters were wonderful. I really enjoyed this and we certainly looking at others of his.
Also finished Likely Lad by Pete Doherty . Simon Spence helped him with it. He’s done some good stuff. Anyway was a good biography. Doherty certainly doesn’t down play the situations he was in. Some of it is really turgid. A bit of a miracle he is still going after the shit he has shot into himself. I always liked Dohertys work, so I did like it. Recommended.
