Easy enough on the ear, but they benefited from debuting when just about any Glasgow band was flavour of the month. The music press also briefly had James King and the Lone Wolves as the next big thing. I went eagerly to JK's gig and they were crap.

codhead Think it was partly the fact he was on Alan Horne's label, Swamplands. I had this and The Angels Know. I thought they were both good singles. I also like The Meteors.

Yep, "I've Got a Right To Be Wrong" is pretty good, I must say. Horne reckoned his Swampland acts were better than the Postcard ones. Few agree! Of their Scottish peers, I preferred Lloyd Cole and Del Amitri. Oh yes, The Meteors--the neo-skin wing of psychobilly.

I was away from Glasgow for much of 86-87 and had left the city by summer 88, so they were never on my radar. After I moved away, I no longer kept tabs on the Scottish music scene.
