I disagre with the mercanry line as well. if you look at the signings I think they are shrewd. The vast majority young - under 25 as is the clubs policy. Also the attitudes are important. Cooper and the CEO - Dane Murphy are working together to create a team to compete, not survive.
I think there are some interesting signings - look at Biancone for 5m - his stats in Ligue 1 are better than Botman who went to the toon for 35m.
MGW is value for money in todays market in my opinion - he is 22.
Three of the signings have gone straight out on loan and two were signed to cover signings who are already injured! Omar Richards and Nihkate.
I think they have signed a squad for three eventualities. Relegation, Staying up and staying up and challenging for Europe.
