Point of Order 2Don't them freaks down Heavy Wollen call them bits? Pretty sure there are a chain of chippys round by Shannon Mathews' drum called Wi'Bits

Good fish and chips involves grilled John Dory or swordfish or something like that. Deep fried cod and haddock is disgusting in comparison. Britain's best chippie? - haven't found it yet. And you can stick the newspaper in the bin too.

Default fish is haddock. It's scraps and they're free.A fish butty is haddock in a teacake. Want a few chips with that?Over £3.50? You're being robbed.

Strensall Fisheries York. portions of chips so small I have to ask for adults portions for the kids, fish the size of Nemo.Best one in York,Bridge fisheries in Clifton behind the Rowntrees factory. Keep someone in the car though and the engine running its bandit country round there at times.

I remember there was an excellent peice in the Sport a few months back about fish and chips North v South. The North obviously triumphed. :D;)

I was raised to call them fish bits - not scraps.Gale Lane in York - highly rated, very consistent. There is a decent chain in Surrey they have about six shops, forget what it's called now, there is one in the West somert or other village near Esher, and they state on their menus - Fish and Chips the Yorkshire way. Fry in Beef Dripping, three years ago they were about £6.50 a throw for Haddock and Chips.Edited to add the chain in surrey is called Super Fish.

Murgatroyds on Harrogate Rd near LBA.Fish, chips and mushy peas fo about £5-25,in a tray and massive portions.Only problem is trying toy get in to the CarPark due to the inordinate number of pensioners on coaches. What is it with greys and fish and chips? Why the fuck don't they take them to curry houses or pizza parlours? Can you imagine a coach load of geris turning up at Nafees?Even tho I'm approaching grey status myself, you'll only get me on on one of these trips at gunpoint.Got to go now, thats the coach driver hooting.
