It's the best Football movie I've ever seen (But not much competition is there....WSC? Best?).My Missis thought it was...'really really good!' (And she doesn't like football).Sheen does a very good Clough.Leeds come across as what I remember of them as a kid.Horrible, arrogant, brilliant, unbeatable, tight, big headed and the best team in Britian.Fuckin great I'd say if I was Leeds (Exactly as people thought of Man U in the 90's, Liverpool in the 80's and Chelsea now...we hate winners IF (like most of us) they ain't our team. What they get right is other people's obsession with pulling down those on top...Clough at Derby. What they don't put in (Probably didn't have time, was Cloughs own arrogance and inevitable fall from grace).Billy and Johnny get it. Just pantomime bad guys. Same with Revie (too easy for them, with the obvious...Revie failed at England and was done for blah de blah while Clough went on to rule the world at the end). But the Leeds stuff is great. I'd take it as a compliment. That one line that even Clough says...'We gotta go Pete, best ground, team and fans in the country, we'd be mad to pass it up).A JCIG 7 out of 10.

My sister had a couple of invites to a special pre-premiere screening of this but turned it down because she thought it was a horror movie!

I'm off to see it tonight with my 2-4-1 Pizza Express deal at the 'Red Cinema' in Salford Quays . You 10% off if you wear your Man U shirt. The things I put up with...

I thought the film was OK, recreated the 70s quite nicely and it didn't upset me at all as a Leeds fan. However, it didn't fully capture the 24/7 driven madness of Clough, which was the thing I liked about the book. And the thing that baffles me is how everybody is raving about Sheen's performance. I mean everybody, even people who met Clough in the flesh. His acting is good but he just wasn't the full Clough for me. I didn't think the voice was as distinctive as I remember Clough's being. I thought his David Frost was miles better.

I really enjoyed the film and didn't feel any particular resentment as a Leeds fan. To be honest I thought that they cast Clough's egotistical battle as an equal to the teams indifference to him. For me Cloughs treatment of Taylor and his own personal war against Revie brought him out in a bad light just as much as the players (if not more so), who I thought would have been stitched up more than they were. And Jim Broadbent was fucking brilliant. My missus said he was great in the film and I said I didn't even know he was in it! I love it when that happens - I was just watching Uncle Sam and never realised who the actor was.The interview at the end was good. They twisted that from the book. I'm sure Clough does well in the real clip in that interview but they let Revie walk over him in the film. And for me the crucial point in the film was actually when Giles tells Clough that whilst he doesn't have to explain himself to the players, he does have to justify himself to the crowd and the city of Leeds and the look on Clough's face tells you he had never thought of that. So for all of Clough's ramblings on the seafront at Brighton about Northerners leading their own people and working at clubs like Hartlepool and Derby for the people of the town he didn't give a fuck about the people of Leeds. He just ran his own personal war and to hell with the consequences. And that's probably the truest bit in the film.

As an outsider with no loyalties to Leeds or owt i thought it was a good film,i had read the book beforehand and enjoyed it so it was a bit of a surprise to see the movie in relation to the book.It seemed to shy away from the main thrust of the book and focus more on Cloughs relationship with Taylor. And the geezer playing Billy Bremner? fuck me if i was Billys family i'd have been more upset about that more than Cloughs are!!!!! from the hair to the shit accent almost everything about it stunk. Why did they get a scouse bloke to play him? when there were other Scottish actors in the movie? strange one that (for me) i'm looking forward to the movie they will be making about my own teams captain Barry Ferguson and his recent dilemma maybe Vin Diesel will be cast as him ?

My brother dropped of the downloaded "Damned United " tonight Just watched it .I enjoyed the film .I thought it portrayed Clough in a more human light Showing his vulnerabilities as supposed to the Arrogant gig that we remember Sheen was great as Clough I don’t think it did Leeds any favours being portrayed as Gentile FC

What software do you need to watch one of the torrents? Can you just play them on a media player.I would download it but have mixed feelings about giving any money to the film makers. What makes it harder for me to pay to see this film is the long streak of piss they've cast as Johnny Giles, when seeing them in a training ground scene i was quite impressed with their Joe Jordan until i realised it was Giles.Edited to add - i've pissed about with them torrents and i'm calling it a day, i'll wait until it comes on the telly.
