I've been struggling with what I would call 'anxiety' recently. It's been going on for a few weeks.
Though it feels like anxiety, it doesn't match fully a description of anxiety. It's generally a feeling about lack of confidence.
The Dream:
I am in a busy area, with a lot of people around, but the leopard wasn't scared, it was used to this 'busy-ness'. It felt like we were in front of a supermarket in a very busy town area. People were moving all around. It was dusk, on a Summer's evening. I could feel that the leopard didn't really want to interact with other people, but it was fine with me.
(Meant only for me?)
It had something in its mouth - flowers? weeds? Dried flowers - in a semi-circle. These flowers filled its jaw and it would not let go of these. It appeared at my right hand side, and waited for me to notice it. It looked into my eyes. It was not scared - and other people were not fazed by it.
It was brown - spotted and sleek - like a young male - but it was quite skinny and longer than I have seen them in photos. It had a small head, compared to its size (length). It was quite dark in colour. It looked a bit malnourished.
It was reading a sign, which was the tall, slim Supermarket sign, but this contained other words and statements. It was motioning to me with its eyes, and 'telling' me to read what was written. It motioned towards me with its eyes. It let me 'watch' it read, on purpose, like it was guiding me to do the same.
It was a tall, skinny, supermarket sign, like you see at the entrance to a supermarket parking area, reaching up into the sky. It contained words and information. The words and information were higher up the sign. You had to look and concentrate to see the messages.
It then moved off, through the people, not scared, but was very aware of where it was, and where it was going. It did not drop what it was holding in its mouth. It had fulfilled its purpose.
I was with 'X' (a former colleague), and we had been arguing. I had upset him and I was trying to explain why I had disappointed him. I had not kept something a secret that he had asked me to. I had told somebody his 'secret', and they in turn told him that I had told them. He pointed out that I had told somebody, very quickly after he had asked me not to. I could not remember who it was, but I felt that it could have been any one of a number of people. This felt like I was loose with other people's (trusted) information.
'Y' (my former boss) was also in the dream, but with his Son. He was friendly to me, but I could see (and feel) that his Son was his priority. His Son was climbing all over him. There was a small model plane that 'Y' said I could fly if I wanted to. It felt like he was still in charge, somehow - at least in charge of our 'thinking' and doing in that setting.
I can't remember if the leopard came into my dreams after me and 'X' argued. I very much think 'after' though.
I admitted to 'X' that I missed my position, and that this clarity and truth could be really felt in that moment. It was like a weight had dropped from me. This was really felt by me, like I needed to deal with this truth.
I then woke up and was compelled to write this down.

Leopard's in Dreams:
