ideally we should be looking to keep talent like Byram,but he alone ain,t gonna get us promoted (if that,s the aim!)So yes,anything around 8m has to be considered and don,t forget McD has had to sell some of his big players at Reading previously and replaced well.

Played out of position last year as Byram got ahead of him. Decent lad, plenty of heart and I think with him and Warnock we have capable FB's up there with anything in this league and some backuop in Drury and the kids.Got to sort out GK, be it Federicci, Ashdown or keeping Paddy.Got to sort out CB pairing, Lees, Pearce, Mills?, We need bodies in there.Midfield needs some pace.Strikers again we need bodies and options so Matt Smith is a start.

Well i'll go to the foot of our stairs, Williams is out as well as Harvey. Harvey there until his term on the FL finished and then he's gone as well?So Bates has no more control. And they might be brassic, dodgy and chancers....but they're at least with skin in the game.
