It might be revolutionary but if a manager announced to his squad at the start of the season that they were his tools, and under no circumstances would he fetch loan players in, is it not likely he´d have them competing for places with a degree more enthusiasm than seems to be the case so many times nowadays.

...and he wouldn't be the first person to describe the squad as tools.

No. If the author of the piece knew anything about Leeds, they wouldn't have included Barry Bloody Bannan for a start.

Other than Frimpong they're all shite. And not what we need.

That's what I thought. Shit piece. No reference to Bannan's stint here or his heroic ale intake.

You always need the right tools for the current 'project' you're undertaking.....

I hate that. If someone came in calling Leeds United a 'project' I would hate that man from Day 1.........however successsful

I'm just glad players are still called players.

Where I work they'd be called a "resource".

Boro seem keen on McCormack..2 bids already and allegedly coming back with a third!

Need to hold on to him.

Boro: the footballing equivalent of a skip. Why any players go there is beyond me.

Mind you, maybe Ross's recent fly-tipping antics have made him attractive to the Smoggies and their wombling ways?

Middlesboro'. The Norwich of the North?

Diouf on his way?

More pleased than not, he seemed almost a side-show to Colin's launch ball team and I can't see him fitting into BMcD's new passing game. I also think in the context of Leeds United minor cult heroes (undeserved category) that it would be fitting if his last act in a white shirt was his sending off for self balls-grabbing......

He's a better player than I thought if I'm honest, but you're right,he's a luxury McD can ill afford in this system.

That said,he gives you something different but still falls into the liability bracket at the same time.

Reggie_Perrin

Wages for new players. He's good at this level but you can never trust him fully and I think we will by pass his with pace anyway. Need CB Striker and wingers. Norris and Drury off too I understand.

McCormack sounds like he's off too but depends on who we are getting in.

He was a cunt before he joined us, he was a cunt when he played for us and he's a cunt now we're trying to fuck him off.

Shame on them for signing him. He's complete fucking pondlife.

Not a fan, Gore?! To be honest, he is 'orrible but played well at the start of last season, although this waned after he had been signed. He's 32, hasn't got the pace he once had and has 1 year left on his contract, so if some divs like Boro or whoever are prepared to shell out that would be good business. It's just Leeds haven't got a history of doing much 'good business'.

TwoRs

Most of the negative comments about him seem to have come from folks who didn't go to many (if any) Leeds games last season.
Easily one of our better players.

gore

I'd go steady on the 'you have to go to be qualified to comment' bollocks as you could just as easily get into people who kept Kenny in power through funding him.

And who's talking about the vermins football ability? The man is pondlife, but I guess that doesn't matter as long as he's Leeds, eh? I mean you happily paid for Colin and Ken, so not that different.

TwoRs

If I based my decisions on attending games via assumptions of individual players personalities my arse cheeks would be seeping in to the sofa.

And for all the pond life tales there's also plenty of "he's a good egg".

Mike_Jones

Why is he pondlife? Cos he spat at a bunch of loony Celtic supporters who were slapping him after he fell into the crowd yonks ago? Or he shouted at a player who was lying injured? How does that distinguish him from many other footballers?

He was easily Leeds most composed and skillful player over the past season n a half, don't get the hatred.

Nothing to do with his level of ability. He's past it, just picking up a wage cheque, us or someone else, no future in him.
Don't have to go to work that out.

l.q.navarro.

I never got the hatred with Diouf either. Bigger cunts than him on the pitch ! However if he doesn't fit into M'c Dermotts plans. Then, yes off the wage bill + thanks for the service.
