l.q.navarro. Meslier for all his faults, is still a prospect. Firpo, Koch, Klaesson, + Wober are/were internationals. Some sort of income, should've been got for them.
MolOverBeethoven Chopper_Read unless you want to break it down for me Not especially*, because you'll likely argue my valuations and we'll get further lost in the weeds while ignoring the headline issue. That's what they are, my valuations. Yours total £15m, that's grand. The headline issue is that we are shite at moving on players. *I will if you really want me to.
MolOverBeethoven CBIT All those I listed, the present lot were either in partial or total control. But it goes back much much further than that, decades.
king_of_the_slums The total Piroe package is now being reported as worth £12m, inclusive of the loan, if Joel's move to West Ham becomes permanent. The obligation fee is understood to be £8m and the loan is £4m (which is what the would have paid on a 1st instalment on a perm deal for Troy Parrot). Looks good biz to me. Wish him well, him Bowen and Solomon, they'll win the league..
MolOverBeethoven king_of_the_slums The total Piroe package is now being reported as worth £12m. Looks good biz to me. See, I think that's shocking business. I go back to Sargent, Norwich got a £20m permanent deal from an MLS side who are statutory limited in spend, for a striker with 53 goals in 6 championship seasons . We manage a paltry £12m (promotion dependent) from cash rich West Ham for a striker with 74 goals in 3 championship seasons. It's fucking pathetic imo.
Chopper_Read MolOverBeethoven I agree with this if it's true. Just about to enter his peak years as well.
king_of_the_slums MolOverBeethoven it's 25 appearances or promotion, not sure if that'll make you happier, probably not 😃
Raposa MolOverBeethoven What about wages? I’d be stunned if Piroe wasn’t on a far higher salary at Leeds than Sargent was at Norwich… maybe even double. Same with Bamford who was apparently the clubs highest earner when we terminated his contract. Surely you have to factor in the financials when deciding what fee, if any, to accept when letting a player go? Id agree a lot of the historical deals you mention look piss poor from a transfer fee perspective but in the scheme of things it may have been in the clubs best interests at the time. I’d say this summer the club have been very astute in the market, they’ve discarded a lot of dead wood whilst freeing up the wage bill and brought in 4 quality upgrades with possibly more to come.
CBIT ✍️ 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴! Leeds United is delighted to sign Swiss international Nico Elvedi on a permanent deal from Borussia Mönchengladbach
CBIT ✍️ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱! Joe Rodon has committed his future to the club, signing a new contract until 2030
oneallanclarke Kevin_Stapleton And Piroe with his new barnet looks like he's having a midlife crisis in his 20s
MolOverBeethoven MolOverBeethoven See your man Kasper Hogh, who I said in January we should have signed in that window has bagged a hattrick for Celtic. £11m, would have been perfect as cover/alternative for DCL. They've also signed this lad Camilo Duran for just £6m, Columbian striker. Looks sensational... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/cm36dyyeyg5jt
king_of_the_slums Wrexham looking at Nmecha, 1 year on his contract, best natural finisher we have, but you can tell he is where he is from his build up and hold up play, nice lad, suspect we don't entertain, unless Flemming and this lad from Norwich are lined up
