Cooley I don't know many but most are nice though I am on a different wavelength to a lot of people here. I've mostly worked with other immigrants to be fair. A lot of people have helped me with no expectation of anything in return.
Why we moved? Fuck all happening in the UK, I didn't see a way to make anything happen. She won a green card in the visa lottery, it seemed like a no brainer. Don't get me wrong, it's been good to us. We had a lot of fun living in New York, every night was Saturday night at one point, more money than we'd ever made in the UK. Blew the lot. Had kids, moved to the 'burbs, started again, worked two jobs, put them through Catholic schools, work one job now, they're in great colleges (universities)
I did like living in Leeds but the wages I was earning weren't going to go far.
